Chapter 1

Andréa Vargas receives the Prêmio de Moda Brasil. A few hours earlier, Letícia provokes her mother, Julia, saying that she is envious of her sister Andréa's wealth and fame. Isaura begs Mercedes to tell Andréa who her mother is. Julia listens behind the door. Andréa accuses her sister of being envious. Julia throws in Andréa's face that she was adopted. Diogo remembers Andréa. Under the influence of a sedative, Andréa faints during the awards ceremony.

Chapter 2

Bruno picks Andréa up and takes her away. Júlia feels guilty. Mercedes tells Andréa that her real mother has already died. Atílio convinces Renato to return home with Júlia. Andréa remembers the past: her romantic entanglements, the loss of her child, the argument with Júlia, and the difficult decision to marry Bruno. Renato and Chico play soccer. Bill kicks Gabriela out of the apartment. Júlia returns to her sister's house.

Chapter 3

Andréa kicks Júlia out. Fernanda gives Chico a deadline to disappear from her life. Renato assures Júlia that Chico will help put a crook in jail. Bruno and Selma kiss. Diogo gets drunk to celebrate what would have been his silver wedding anniversary with Andréa. During a dive with Bia, Diogo gets trapped at the bottom of the sea. A rescue team arrives. Andréa feels a pang in her heart: Diogo is dying.

Chapter 4

On the brink of death, Diogo has a hallucination: Andréa begs him not to abandon her. Suddenly, his heart starts beating again. Renato, Chico, and Vavá prepare the sting operation. Renato hands over the bribe, and inspector Baraúna is arrested by the police chief. In the bathroom, Letícia meets Gabriela, and the two immediately connect. Diogo decides to return to Rio. Chico argues with Arruda when he sees Fernanda getting into his colleague's car.

Andréa sees photos of herself as a child, before she was adopted, and makes a decision. Gabriela and Nicolau kiss. The boat Costureira docks in Rio. Andréa tells Bruno that she wants to have a child. Andréa and Diogo meet.

Chapter 7

Diogo grabs and kisses Andréa. Enraged, she slaps him. Andréa remembers Diogo trying to stop her marriage to Bruno. Sandro photographs Gabriela. Andréa waits for Bruno, who is at Selma's house. When he arrives, she grabs him. Bruno says that Andréa only wants to have a child. Andréa promises Letícia that she will get a good lawyer for Renato. Júlia reacts when Coelho says he fired Renato for just cause.

Chapter 8

At the pool hall, Patty meets Gabriela and introduces her to Ariel, her father. Diogo is impressed with Patty and thanks Ariel for managing his inheritance for so many years. Letícia is disappointed to realize that Nicolau is interested in Gabriela. Letícia insists that her mother should accept Andréa's help. Andréa and Bruno dance at a nightclub. Júlia laughs hysterically when Chico informs her that they found an account belonging to Renato with over R$ 2 million.

Chapter 9

Chico assures that the police have proof. Júlia becomes completely distraught. Renato despairs upon learning he was fired. Fernanda agrees to defend Renato. Ariel asks Bárbara to hire Júlia Moreno. Júlia finds the job offer strange. Bruno gives Selma a diamond ring; Andréa compliments her mysterious boyfriend's gift. Diogo blocks Andréa's car and insists on talking to her.

Chapter 10

Andréa threatens to call the police. Diogo kneels in front of Andréa's car. Then, he takes her to his boat and promises to love her for the rest of his life. Andréa tells Bruno she's going to sleep at Marlene's house, and he stays with Selma. Andréa is shocked to see her photos on the boat and assures Diogo that there's nothing left between them. Andréa arrives home crying, hugs her husband, and tells him she spent the night with Diogo.

Chapter 11

Andréa swears nothing happened. Diogo announces he's leaving and asks Ariel to continue managing his assets. Júlia agrees to let Letícia do an internship with Andréa. Andréa asks her sister to tell her who her mother is. Júlia insists she doesn't know. Bárbara tells Tadeu that Nicolau is Diogo's son. Fernanda tells Júlia that she will sue Renato's company for the unfair dismissal. Andréa demands that Mercedes tell her where her mother is buried. Bruno tells Selma to stay away from Diogo. In the newsroom, Júlia discovers that Coelho Leite is a millionaire and owns a horse farm.

Chapter 17

Nicolau arrives home dazzled by Diogo and his lifestyle. Renato thinks Coelho Leite is innocent and tells Júlia to forget about the matter. Bruno invites Andréa to lunch and, without her knowledge, also makes plans with David. Júlia arrives at the ranch. Bruno pretends to be surprised by David's arrival, who gets straight to the point: he wants to talk about the sale of the Andréa Vargas brand. Andréa reacts violently.

Chapter 18

Andréa demands an explanation. Bruno gets flustered, and she leaves indignantly. Andréa makes it very clear that she will never sell her brand, her name, her art. At the ranch, Júlia pretends to be interested in buying a horse. She shows Coelho Leite's photo to one of the farmhands, who pretends not to recognize him. Chapter 20

Renato is shaken by the news. Fernanda suspects the accident was an attack. Renato thinks Coelho Leite has nothing to do with the attack and tells Júlia to forget about it. Andréa really likes Letícia's drawings. Selma tells Andréa that she met Diogo and found him fascinating. Chico asks Renato to forget about the kiss. Fernanda looks tenderly at Chico and Mateus embracing, watching television. Bruno proposes to leave the company to save his marriage. Andréa begs him to stay. Diogo goes to Selma's house.

Chapter 21

Diogo asks questions about Bruno. Selma reveals nothing and smiles seductively at Diogo. Selma goes to the boat and invites Diogo out. Bill searches the models' apartment and finds Virginia's jewel in Tati's backpack. Júlia tells Kléber about the truck incident. Bruno and Andréa go to a restaurant to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary and run into Selma and Diogo.

Chapter 22

Selma is surprised by the encounter and congratulates the couple on their silver wedding anniversary. Diogo can't take his eyes off Andréa. Bruno doesn't hide his discomfort. Andréa and Bruno argue because of Diogo. Bruno tells Andréa that he will make his rival disappear, leaving her frightened. Frida tells Júlia that she will confirm to Coelho Leite's face that he owns the stud farm. Bruno explodes at Selma for going out with Diogo. She demands a decision: either Andréa or her. Gabriela promises to put Nicolau in Letícia's hands if she asks Andréa to intercede so that she can be on the cover of the magazine. Andréa arrives unexpectedly and finds Selma sitting in her chair. She calls her for a conversation.

Diogo throws Selma into the water. She is rescued by helicopter. Diogo appears at the fair and Andréa asks him to leave. Ariel tells Nicolau that Diogo is his father. He rebels against everyone. Júlia sees Renato talking to a tattooed man. Virgínia hides under Ariel's bed, locks the door and grabs him. He swears he will jump out the window if she comes near. Ariel jumps out the window.

Chapter 48

Everyone rushes to help Ariel, who is passed out on the lawn. He wakes up macho and rude, and grabs Virginia to take her to the bedroom. Cristiano and Tadeu hit him on the head, and he recovers from his macho outburst. Nicolau suffers alone. Selma wants to make love, but Bruno rejects her. Júlia finds dollars inside a book. Diogo tries to help Andréa, but she dismisses him, and he walks away. Devastated, Diogo decides to leave. Andréa runs along the dock and shouts for Diogo. Chico reaffirms his love, but Júlia explains that she's not ready for a new relationship yet. Selma kicks out a customer who complains about the quality of the clothing. Diogo is shocked to learn that he is Nicolau's real father.

Chapter 54

Letícia advises Nicolau to look for his father. He tries to kiss her, but she escapes. Isaura goes to Selma's mansion and tells her to leave Andréa alone. Andréa is moved to learn that Nicolau is Diogo's son. Bruno says he will arrive late and tells Selma to go to bed early. Júlia asks Chico to stay away from her. Andréa tries to convince Antônia to confess everything. Hidden, she hears Selma complaining that Bruno isn't coming home early. Coelho demands that Chico hand over the evidence against him. Júlia is overwhelmed with worry. Zezão points a gun at Vavá. Handcuffed, Chico and Renato manage to disarm Mindinho. Vavá hits Zezão with a stick. The three escape. Ariel starts having cravings. Vavá hides in a henhouse. Renato confesses that he turned Chico in. Coelho shoots Chico, Renato steps in front, takes the bullet, and they both fall off a cliff.

Chapter 65

Julia has a bad feeling and asks her children to pray. Renato is injured. Chico thanks him for saving his life. Selma orders a new car, and Bruno tells her to cancel the purchase.
